“I began working with Kate following an ankle injury and a subsequent sizeable weight gain in my early thirties. I had low energy, my confidence had taken a major hit, and I no longer felt at home or even acquainted with my body. I knew that I needed outside assistance to get back on my feet (so to speak!), but felt wary of working with a healthcare professional, in fear of being judged for neglecting my health.

I met Kate first through my work as a music educator - she signed up for voice lessons following her own ACL injury, and I watched her work steadfastly towards her musical goals, embracing each win, and steeling herself for each challenge. Witnessing her positive and engaged outlook towards change and self-improvement inspired me to get involved in my own physical rehabilitation and begin a training program with Kate.

In addition to being professional, observant and extremely well-versed in body and mind wellness, Kate is an incredibly warm and thoughtful human. She brings her knowledge, personal and professional experience, and curiosity to every session. Since working with Kate, I have focused less on a future version of myself - that ever-moving target of perfection that has often paralyzed me into inaction - and more on the person who is here today, and will be tomorrow.

I am no longer waiting to feel happy or healthy when I reach a certain weight milestone or a training personal record, but am instead finding joy in an improved range of motion, a new muscle sensation, or increased energy levels. The shift from aesthetic satisfaction to actually focusing on how I feel in my mind and body has been critical to maintaining some semblance of consistency (still working on it!!!).

More than anything, I would say that Kate has inspired me to show up for myself and the life I want. She does nothing half-way, and her personal integrity is something to be admired. I cannot praise this person highly enough, and am ever thankful our paths crossed. She is an asset to anyone seeking to grow autonomy of their body, and a partner in the pursuit of wellness.”
