Priscilla: “My health has had the good medicine of Kate and Michael’s services in Victoria. I was very sad when I heard they were leaving to fulfill their dream of living in Nelson, BC which meant delivering their talents virtually to those that live elsewhere, like myself. And frankly I was not convinced the same offering could be done effectively without the ability of “touch”. I was quite reluctant to make the move online. I don’t like change very much – who does??

However, I am even more reluctant to make the move back to the gym with this current global situation, plus I am not sure the gym is the only place we can get our medicine. So, weighing the pros and cons I started to be curious about virtual training with Kate and Michael. Some gentle nudging from Kate and Michael was key to me making some of my first steps of change.

I booked a Meet and Greet chat with them and feeling their willingness to listen and answer my questions, I decided to jump in feet first – signing up for the training plan and personal training sessions. I should mention that I am on sabbatical and so the money invested is being pulled from my savings account.

After only 4 sessions I can tell that virtual training works with Kate and Michael. They know how to demonstrate while cueing very effectively and coaching you on how to breathe properly.

Okay, there are many trainers jumping on the platform of virtual training due to the current circumstances. So what differentiates Kate and Michael in this new paradigm? – it is how they deliver their services. It is with compassion, empathy and truly caring about the well-being of their clients.  They have their “why” defined.

They also collaborate and integrate each other’s knowledge into their services.  A win-win for us as clients.

So back to the money being pulled out of my savings account – I remember my mom telling me some 30 years ago that your health is your wealth.  This was long before anyone else was saying this. And I was too young to really appreciate what she was saying. I should have known my mom was so right – she was a very smart woman and a nurse who was working in the geriatric ward in a hospital setting at the time.

So if my health is my wealth and I truly believe that, by pulling my money out of my savings account and investing in Virtue Healthcare I am experiencing first-hand my health is account building. And that is my return on investment. And without your health, your wealth is not going to do you any good.”

Kate & Mike: “We’ve had the privilege of meeting and working with Priscilla over the last couple of years in Victoria, BC. She is truly one-of-a-kind, caring, compassionate and is always striving to learn and better herself. We admire these qualities about her.

She has always been eager to learn the “why” behind everything, from movement patterns to exercise program design, to raising topics like wanting to discuss the difference between movement, exercise and physical activity. We’ve had many fascinating conversations, and beyond that, we’ve seen her take her health seriously. Progress isn’t always a linear line but she has shown that staying the course and focusing on how to move well, consistently, will move mountains and positively impact her quality of life. She has taken a proactive approach to keeping herself functioning well, and we could all stand to be reminded of this.

It’s truly a pleasure to work with Priscilla and to see her light shine brighter every day. She inspires her friends and family around her by continuing to prioritize and create space for daily exercise and for showing up for herself to continue to learn in our training sessions together.”
